3 wellness Your health matters, and one of the easiest ways to stay safe is by keeping track of your medications and sharing that list with your doctor at every visit. Why does it matter? Your doctor needs to know everything you take, including: ■Prescription medications ■Over-the-counter medicines (like pain relievers or allergy pills) ■Vitamins or herbal supplements This helps your doctor: ■Make sure you don’t get 2 medicines that do the same thing. ■Avoid mix-ups that could make you sick. ■Check if the dose is right for your body and health. What can you do? ■Keep a list of your medications in your wallet or phone. ■Bring your medicine bottles or a photo of them to your visit. ■Update the list anytime your medications change.
